HOME ABOUT US WORSHIP GROW IN FAITH GROUPS OUTREACH

Calvary has many wonderful communities to join, all of which eagerly encourage new involvement!

Sarah's Daughters

Sarah's Daughter's is a women's Bible study who graciously gives back to the ministry through their service projects. Among these are love gifts offered to church members and others within the community, and organizing the Samaritan's Purse Project (AKA the 'Shoebox Ministry') within the church each November. To those eager to study and serve, this group can be found on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 1:00 PM.

Ruth Circle

The Ruth Circle is a community within the church where women can gather together and have discussions guided by the Stonecroft Bible Studies. This community enthusiastically invites all to join its sessions, which take place on the 1st Thursday of every month at 9:00 AM.

Men In Mission Bible Study

The Men In Mission Bible Study divides its duties between scholarship and service. While its members can be found exploring verses together every 3rd Monday evening of the month at 7:00 PM, they also help out a dedicated charity by hosting an annual pork chop dinner fundraiser.

Men's Bible Study

The Men's Bible study is a resource for those dedicated to deepening faith in their walk with the Lord. The written word is studied one chapter at a time in order to draw rich connections between its profound messages and the daily lives of each group member. This Bible study welcomes new members every Saturday morning at 7:00 AM.

Stewardship Bee

The Stewardship Bee looks to devote their time and talent to ensuring the comfort of those less fortunate. This comfort comes in variety of handcrafted quilted sheets, which the group fashions once a month during their meetings. These quilts are distributed both locally and around the world, where they are used for warmth, creating a tent from the hot sun, or as a way of carrying one’s belongings. Regardless of how they are used, they are well received due to the excellent care the team crafts them with. Join the Stewadship Bee the 4th Tuesday of the month at 1:00PM to tie quilts (except December).

CLCW (Calvary Lutheran Church Women) quilting day is 1:00 p.m. on the 3rd Thursdays in March, June and September.

Grief Support Group

Grief is a challenge we all must endure in life – but not one we must endure alone. The Grief Support Group looks to provide friendship and respite to those standing against the throes of loss and hardship. Walking through grief with the support of others who understand it advances the healing process. Those looking to lighten personal burdens can find this group every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10:00 AM.

Fellowship

Fellowship looks to warmly invite all to the home they’ve found in Calvary. The Hospitality Committee tries to make that happen by hosting coffee before service and treats after worship in the summer, giving people opportunity to have conversations and fellowship.

The Hospitality Committee is the "Face of the Body of Christ"—helping to foster and promote a friendly, welcoming, and caring community within the church and to anyone interested in joining Calvary. This group meets once in March or April to set up summer serving schedules, then if needed, meets with other committees to lend a helping hand. Fellowship greets and welcomes visitors or newcomers, so they truly feel part of Calvary.
